Torino are working to’restore prestige’ to midfielder Nikola Vlasic, who has yet to justify the club’s decision to sign him permanently from West Ham in the summer.
La Stampa follow that up and say the lack of goals is a problem for Torino this season, whose most recent blank came against Lazio in Rome.
Their struggles are not being helped by ‘the decline’ of Vlasic, who is the man the team relies on to give support at the important end of the pitch and create chances.
He’s one of the ‘main assist providers’ in the group but is ‘still behind’ where he was last season, when he shined on loan from West Ham.
He’s not the only one struggling and performing under their level but he is a player who is considered ‘fundamental’ and without him it is harder for Torino to create and score goals.
That’s why manager Ivan Juric is ‘working to try to restore the prestige’ of the player and get him back to the level he was once at.
It’s particularly important for the Croatian boss as Vlasic was signed on his ‘wish’, a desire the player is yet to justify.
