Football Transfers is reporting this morning that West Ham United are interested in signing Nelson Semedo from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that West Ham are already trying to do a deal and have “made enquiries” regarding Semedo.
The Hammers are looking at the right-back as a potential replacement for Vladimir Coufal.
West Ham have told Coufal that they cannot guarantee him regular first-team football and are looking into a possible deal for Semedo as early as January 2024, according to the report.
Wolverhampton Wanderers unlikely to sell Nelson Semedo to West Ham United in January 2024
I do not think that Wolverhampton Wanderers will sell Nelson Semedo to Premier League rivals West Ham United in the January transfer window.
After all, it is very likely that Wolves will be fighting for survival in the Premier League in the final weeks of the campaign.
So, why would the Wanderers sell the £29 million (The Sun) Semedo in January 2024?
Semedo has made seven appearances in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season.
The 29-year-old former Barcelona player is able to play as a right-back or as a right wing-back.
West Ham are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from seven matches.
Meanwhile, Wolves currently find themselves 15th in the standings with seven points from seven games, just four points above the relegation zone.
