OCT 19 INTERNATIONAL FLAGS You’ll see some changes to some NFL helmets around the league for Weeks 7 and 8. Hundreds of players will add flag decals to their helmets representing the countries of their heritage.

The league has announced more than 330 players have committed to participate, representing 72 nations, with Nigeria being the most-represented foreign country, with 80 players committing to wear the Nigerian flag.

OCT 13 LEWIS BACKS DOWN OHER CTE CLAIMS Michael Lewis, the author of the book that eventually became the film “The Blind Side,” retracted previous claims about the story’s subject, former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Michael Oher. In a prior interview with Samanth Subramanian of The Guardian, Lewis hinted that Oher’s lawsuit against the Tuohy family concerning profits made from the 2009 film starring Sandra Bullock was a “change of behavior” brought about by head/brain injuries from football.
