Guardians injury updates on Josh Naylor, Tyler Freeman, Shane Bieber and Triston McKenzie
Columbus, Ohio — The Guardians have a growing list of injuries as they placed two players on the 10-day injured list on Friday.
Manager Terry Francona stated that Josh Naylor’s MRI on Thursday showed an oblique strain. Naylor initially disclosed the injury before Tuesday’s match in Houston. Naylor may be out for three to six weeks, according to Cleveland’s captain.
That’s really hesitant, Francona remarked. “It’s good that he acknowledges that he feels a little better already.”
However, according to Francona, oblique strains are not the same as calf or quad strains, which sometimes allow a player to play through them once they start to feel better.
Francona remarked, “We’re going to have to watch him, but we don’t want to slow him down.” “We’ll do a weekly recheck on him.”
