Report: Aston Villa receive two key injury boosts ahead of Tottenham clash

Ramsey has been out of action for close to 10 weeks now after he suffered a broken metatarsal early in September. The talented midfielder has already made appearances off the bench in games against Chelsea and Brighton, but he could be ready to start the game against Tottenham.

Ramsey was influential for Unai Emery’s side last season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions. This season, he has one goal from just three appearances (Transfermarkt).

Aston Villa have been plagued by injuries since the start of this campaign. Emi Buendia suffered a ‘significant knee ligament injury‘ which would see him miss the majority of the season.

Tyrone Mings also suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury with Guardian claiming that he is unlikely to feature again this season.

Birmingham Mail also claim that Alex Moreno could be in line to make his first appearance of the campaign against Tottenham after recovering from injury and making the matchday squad last time around.

Tottenham have not had a kind time with injuries either. Veteran Ivan Perisic suffered a similar injury to Buendia and Mings and he is set to miss out on the majority of the season (Daily Mail).

Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon, James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Manor Solomon are all set to be out for significant periods, while Guglielmo Vicario was forced to miss out on international duty after showing flu symptoms this week (Football. London).

Jacob Ramsey is a dangerous player to face and he has the ability to influence games with his creativity. The 22-year-old also has the knack of finding the back of the net on a frequent basis. We must be wary of him.

With regards to our own injury issues, we will be hoping that Vicario is fit enough to take his place in between the sticks against Emery’s side

Rodrigo Bentancur could also feature in a more prominent role as he slowly returns to full fitness. It could be a tough game against a high-flying Villa side and Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to bounce back after consecutive defeats.
