Transfer rumours: Che Adams to Crystal Palace, Elye Wahi to West Ham United, Tyler Adams future

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to make an £10m offer for Southampton striker Che Adams.

The 27-year-old has spent the last four years on the South Coast, but he has been linked with a move away following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Palace are keen to bring Adams back to the top flight, and they are set to step up their interest by tabling a £10m bid

Adams, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract, could double his wages to £60,000 a week if he completes a move to Selhurst Park.

With Jean-Philippe Mateta believed to be heading towards the exit door, the addition of Adams would add to Roy Hodgson‘s centre-forward options, which currently include Jordan Ayew and Odsonne Edouard.

Adams has already made a positive start to the 2023-24 season, having found the net in Southampton’s opening two league games against Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City

Meanwhile, West Ham United are reportedly set to rival Chelsea for the services of Montepellier forward Elye Wahi.

The 20-year-old is attracting interest from a number of European clubs after racking up 19 goals in 33 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Chelsea are among those chasing his signature after tabling a reported £24m bid, but Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has made it clear that the French club are looking for a higher fee.

According to L’Equipe, West Ham are set to enter the race for Wahi, who has two years left to run on his current contract.

With David Moyes keen to bolster his forward options, the Hammers are believed to be preparing a bid for the France Under-21 international.

Elsewhere, Leeds United midfielder cs is still reportedly the subject of Premier League interest after his proposed move to Chelsea fell through.

Adams, who joined Leeds United from RB Leipzig last summer, made 24 Premier League appearances before a hamstring issue curtailed his season in March.

Despite having four years left on his contract, Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League has brought a £20m release clause into play.

Chelsea decided to activate the player’s release clause and subsequently scheduled a medical for the USA international.

However, the Blues decided to pull out of the deal on Friday due to apparent fears over the player’s hamstring injury.

While Adams has now returned to Leeds, The Athletic are reporting that leading Premier League clubs have been alerted by his availability.

The 24-year-old continues to recover from injury and is expected to return to full fitness after the international break in September.
