David Moyes has provided an injury update on Jarrod Bowen ahead of West Ham United’s clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

West Ham boss David Moyes was speaking to the media today, and responded when asked to provide a Jarrod Bowen injury update.

The Hammers forward picked up a knock whilst away on international duty with England around 11 days ago, and Moyes suggested this time last week that he hopes the 26-year-old isn’t out of action for too long.

We really miss Bowen when he doesn’t play. His strength, tight ball control, willingness to run in behind and his goalscoring ability is something that no other West Ham player possesses.

The sooner that Jarrod Bowen is back, the better. And Moyes provided an update on the former Hull City forward’s fitness this afternoon…

Jarrod Bowen injury update

Moyes addressed the media during his pre-match press conference today, ahead of our clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

And the Scot responded when asked about Bowen’s progress after his recent knee problem, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Jarrod had his injury so he is one of the ones we will see on. I will pick up with the medical team on him and see what they feel, and we will take a look at him this afternoon too.”

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Bowen is ready to face Palace.

With Eberechi Eze and Cheick Doucoure both out injured for the visitors, Sunday’s game will represent a huge opportunity for the Hammers to make it three Premier League wins in a row, and five in all competitions.

Three points would put us right in the mix in the race for the top six, but if we’re going to finish anywhere near there, we need the 26-year-old back as soon as possible.

Moyes provided an injury update on Jarrod Bowen, and didn’t give much away. Let’s hope that he’s fit and raring to go this weekend, because we’re so much better as a team when he’s playing.
