Raiders’ Antonio Pierce keeps it short when discussing possible QB change

After a terrible 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, it’s apparent something is wrong with the Las Vegas Raiders. They are now 5-8 and have pretty much lost any chance of making the playoffs.

While they are not officially eliminated mathematically, they may as well start preparing from the draft after this loss, in what was a must-win game, if the franchise really did want to make the playoffs.

The defense played amazing, as they only gave up three points. However, the offense was terrible. Aidan O’Connell, the rookie quarterback, basically gave away the game at the end with an interception.

After the game, interim head coach Antonio Pierce was asked about a potential quarterback change back to Jimmy Garoppolo.

“We will evaluate everything moving forward,” Antonio Pierce said to reporters after the loss.

He was then later asked if “everything” meant his staff, too.

“Everything, our whole football program.”

This next week will be huge in that Pierce has to show something if he wants the job in 2024. The loss doesn’t mean he is eliminated from getting the job, but it certainly doesn’t help him. Be watching to see if there are any changes made in this “evaluation” from Pierce.

If they can bounce back, it will give him a bit of a boost after what was a terrible game.
