sad news for Bolton wanderers as key man confirmed dead just now

An appeal is underway after an elderly man died at his home in Bolton this week.

Owen Evens, 85, is believed to have died at his home on Bury Road on Thursday August 31.

Police have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances involved in Mr Evens’ death but have now launched an appealed to members of the public to help them find his next of kin.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Do you know the next of kin of a man from Bolton?

“Owen Evens, 85, sadly died at his address on Bury Road, Bolton, on August 31 2023.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”

As yet no further details have been made public about the circumstances around Mr Evens’ death but officers hope anyone who with any information will get in touch.

Police regularly put out appeals to help find the loved ones of people who have died in order to help establish the full facts behind someone’s death.

In this case, officers hope that people will come forward with further information as soon as possible.
