Two veteran offensive tackles will be unavailable to the New York Jets for their Week 10 road battle against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Billy Turner and Duane Brown were both officially ruled out for the November 12 game on Friday’s injury report.
Turner, who started at right tackle in Week 9, is dealing with a surgically-repaired finger and did not practice leading up to the game.
“The surgery went well, but he will be out for this week,” said Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh on Friday. “We’ll see what happens next week.
Brown, whose 21-day activation window is open, has been practicing fully, but the 38-year-old is still working back up to speed after his stint on Injured Reserve.
“It’s going to be another week for Duane,” said Saleh.
The Jets will be without backup linebacker, and core special teamer, Chazz Surratt for the second week in a row. Meanwhile, rookie edge rusher Will McDonald suffered a late-week ankle injury and is questionable to play on Sunday night.
“He’s dealing with an ankle. Again, he finished practice yesterday, but it popped up this morning,” said Saleh.
Linebacker Quincy Williams and tight end Jeremy Ruckert joined the injury report on Wednesday, but their statuses have since improved. Both players practiced fully on Friday and will be available Sunday.
The Raiders could be without starting left tackle Kolton Miller, who hasn’t been practicing due to a shoulder injury. Miller is listed as doubtful to play. Fullback Jakob Johnson and cornerback Marcus Peters were limited participants on Friday and are questionable for Sunday night.
