BREAKING: Philadelphia Eagles Interviewing Another Notable Offensive Coordinator Candidate
The Philadelphia Eagles are in the market for a new offensive coordinator. Brian Johnson has been fired and there was reported drama between Johnson and QB Jalen Hurts. The Eagles have already interviewed one notable offensive coordinator candidate. Now, another one is quickly emerging.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Philadelphia Eagles plan to interview Kellen Moore for the offensive coordinator position. He is currently the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers. However, with the hiring of Jim Harbaugh as the Chargers’ new head coach, it could push Moore out.
Moore has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL for the last five seasons. He spent four years as the OC for the Dallas Cowboys before joining the Chargers’ coaching staff last year. Moore is one of the youngest coordinators in the league at just 35 years old.
There is at least one other notable candidate for this OC position. Previous reports indicated that the Eagles also interviewed Kliff Kingsbury for this position. He is currently the quarterbacks coach for the USC Trojans. However, Kingsbury was previously the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals for four seasons.
