Iraola said, “It’s a player that right now is not our player, so we have to wait.

“The club is working towards signing someone there in the midfield, but we have to wait until everything is complete.

“He’s a really good player. He has performed in the Champions League, national team experience. But I don’t want to go too far because right now it’s not our player.”

ted States international has been linked with the exit door since the Whites got relegated from the Premier League.

Iraola appears to all but confirm this transfer and it’s something that Leeds fans would not have wanted to hear as he’ll be a big exit like Max Wober and Rodrigo were.

There would’ve been delight at his failed move to Chelsea and the chances of him staying would’ve increased.

However, Bournemouth saw this as an opportunity to pounce and they know Adams is desperate for top-flight football.

In joining the Cherries, he will be at a team that will be battling relegation and will be among the candidates to come back down.

Should they get relegated, he may very well be on the move again so this is not a deal that makes too much sense for him.

It remains to be seen who Leeds end up bringing in as his replacement but they need to act quickly as time is running out.

Getting players that have done well in the Championship in recent seasons does appear to be a sensible move for the Whites.

In other Leeds United news, the club could look to rekindle their interest in a Golden Boot winner who Daniel Farke will love and it will take £15million to get the deal done.

Leeds United will have to table a “convincing” bid to secure the services of Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The media outlet reported on Friday (18 August) that the Canaries will be reluctant to sell to their EFL rivals with both teams fighting for promotion.

With Tyler Adams leaving for Bournemouth, the 31-year-old Scotland international has emerged as an option to replace him

Getting Norwich to sell is going to be a challenge but Daniel Farke has a good prior working relationship with him.

This could sway the Scotsman to move to Elland Road and he also would not be impressed with Norwich’s recent displays.

Since getting relegated again, they’ve not built the right framework in order to take the Canaries back to the Premier League.

Under new owners a promotion specialist at Leeds, McLean may feel that it’s an ideal move for him and he could seal a switch to Elland Road.

Leeds need to now act quickly in order to get this deal over the line sooner rather than later and it remains to be seen if they can convince Norwich to sell.

Hopefully, they get this one over the line soon and then look to bring in another midfielder through the door this summer.
