As reported by German journalist Manuel Bonke: ‘The following process shows how much #LFC is interested in signing Ryan #Gravenberch : Chief scout Hunter & Head of Recruitment Fallows, among others, recently traveled to Germany to obtain detailed information about the #FCBayern player’.

To hear that two club officials are in Germany will certainly add some weight to the belief that we could sign Ryan Gravenberch this summer and possibly complete our summer rebuild.

As with all rumours though, we do need to take this update with a pinch of salt until we can confirm if Barry Hunter and Dave Fallows have tried to go and see the Bundesliga star.

Having also signed Alexis Mac Alister and Dominik Szoboszlai earlier in the window, to add another new face would be happily received by most supporters – due to the volume of departing stars from our squad.

It had seemed that Thomas Tuchel was keen on keeping hold of the former Ajax star but seeing as Harry Kane has moved to Bavaria, we may be able to help ease their financial burden.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Diaz expressed his excitement about returning to Anfield. “It feels incredible to be back. Anfield has been waiting for its heroes, and we’re determined to give our fans a performance to remember. Our aim? Three points, nothing less.

He continued, “Every match in the Premier League is a battle. Bournemouth is no exception. They’re a formidable side, and we expect them to be strategic, possibly leaning on counter-attacks. But our focus remains on our game, our strategy, and our fans.”

Liverpool’s approach is clear: maintain a high-tempo intensity from the first whistle to the last. By doing so, they aim to neutralise Bournemouth’s threats and secure those coveted three points.

LIVERPOOL’S ROCKY START

The 2022/23 season saw Liverpool off to a less than ideal start, with the team failing to secure a win in their first three league matches. But as Bournemouth set foot in Anfield for the fourth round, the Reds turned the tide with a staggering 9-0 victory. This triumph was a beacon in Liverpool’s seven-match winning spree against the Cherries, only to be dimmed by a 1-0 setback at the Vitality Stadium in March.

BOURNEMOUTH’S ANFIELD CHALLENGE

While Bournemouth managed to hold their ground in a 1-1 draw against West Ham recently, their track record at Anfield leaves much to be desired. Their last four Premier League visits to Liverpool ended in defeat, with a combined scoreline of 17-1. The Cherries’ consecutive away losses at the end of the 2022/23 season further amplify their concerns.
