The U.18 squad is back on track after defeating Spurs 4-3 on the road this past Saturday. It was another outstanding performance. They overcame Chelsea 2-1 last week, continuing their winning streak under head coach Adam Barradell.
Joshua King scored the goal to give Leicester the lead in the ensuing minute. After fifteen minutes, Spurs pulled even. Joshua King’s goal in the 24th gave Leicester the lead once more. In first-half stoppage time, Toby Ononaye scored Leicester’s third goal, putting the team ahead 3-1 at the interval.
After 55 minutes, Joshua King of the Czech Republic scored Leicester’s fourth goal, extending their lead that appeared certain. Although Spurs made a late drive and scored two more goals to make it somewhat dicey at the finish, Leicester again won an excellent victory and currently sit seventh in the table.
King was born in 2007, but as of March 30th, he will turn 17 years old. Though he is still young, the forward who was born in Scotland, has youth caps for his country, and holds a passport from the Czech Republic, needs to be watched carefully because his goalscoring ratio is becoming rather fascinating to read.
They defeated Chelsea 2-1 on the road last weekend thanks to goals from Jake Evans and Toby Ononaye. A great victory over one of the biggest teams in young football must be great for self-confidence and, naturally, for other people to take note.
