Right now, Michail Antonio is not the most well-liked player among Liverpool fans. The West Ham United striker has made some significant remarks this season.
He went from saying he believed West Ham would place higher in the Premier League than Liverpool to stating he didn’t want the Reds to win the title. Naturally, Liverpool fans would not sympathize with you if you make remarks like that. even though a few of them were spoken in jest.
Even though his most recent remarks will not go down well, there may be some truth behind them. Fans of Liverpool will not like this fact. But we must accept a part of ourselves.
Michail Antonio’s most recent remarks regarding Liverpool
During an interview with The Players Channel Podcast, Antonio was questioned over West Ham United’s humiliating loss to Arsenal the previous weekend. Antonio did not waste any time in diverting attention and blaming Liverpool.
“You were beaten! What is happening? Presenter Rickie Haywood-Williams, a supporter of Liverpool, presented the query to Antonio.
“All right, can we also talk about how much they beat you guys last week?”
“Let me just clarify that we are discussing Arsenal and Liverpool. We are discussing West Ham and Arsenal. They also beat you people up. You can’t act like you just got beat up. You weren’t really in the game; Arsenal had you guys covered, according to my analysis of the Monday’s game, Antonio stated.
Haywood-Williams said, “It wasn’t 6-0.

What Antonio said may not sit well with most Liverpool fans, but it is partially accurate. Liverpool’s performance against Arsenal could have been far better. The Gunners controlled the contest. And the way things had turned out left us all feeling let down.
That was a squandered chance to lead the race if Liverpool hopes to win the league. The Reds are still in a strong position, thank goodness. However, we will regret that outcome. Since Arsenal was by far the superior team in that match.
