What did Dylan Cardwell have to say before Auburn’s game against Georgia?

Tomorrow, the No. 14 Auburn Tigers travel to face the Georgia Bulldogs.
What did Auburn forward Dylan Cardwell say before the game?
Cardwell expressed gratitude that Jaylin Williams’ injury was not more severe.

“I was extremely happy and extremely joyful,” Cardwell explained. “At the end of the day, it was his sixth year; he was not allowed to return. He has a professional future after this. I’m more concerned about his future than about him coming back and playing for us. I’m glad there wasn’t a tear. It would have been terrible if he had returned for his fifth year, given his all to this program, and it had ended so abruptly. I was simply so relieved.
“They’re insane at home,” Cardwell explained. “I believe all of their home games have had an 8- or 10-point advantage. They’ve been up against Florida and Alabama. They’ve faced good squads. They have a significant homecourt edge. Even though they are 5-8 in the SEC, they have not given up. They are still a hungry team. It’ll be interesting to see how they react against us. Obviously, the Auburn-Georgia rivalry only adds to it. “It will be an exciting game.”
“It was awful,” Cardwell said. “It was dreadful to be a part of and witness it. It simply felt odd. It did not make sense to me. It did not make sense at all. We usually have a fire in here. It was all open shots, you know? It was only open shots. So I wasn’t sure what it was. I felt like we were well prepared offensively. I believe we had a successful week of offensive shooting. The ball simply didn’t go in. We truly have no control over that at the end of the day. It was bizarre. It’s just frustrating that we didn’t get the win. But, at the end of the day, go on to the next game.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT. The television broadcast is available on SEC Network, and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast may be viewed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
