Cincinnati — On Thursday morning, the Bengals announced the hire of Justin Rascati as their pass game coordinator. They also elevated Brad Kragthorpe to quarterbacks coach and Jordan Kovacs to secondary/safety coach.
Kragthorpe takes Dan Pitcher’s place in the quarterbacks’ room, while Pitcher replaces Brian Callahan as offensive coordinator. Kragthorpe has been on staff for the previous five seasons and will be the assistant quarterbacks coach in 2023.
Meanwhile, Kovacs replaces Robert Livingston, who is slated to be appointed Colorado’s next defensive coordinator. Kovacs has also spent the last five seasons on Zac Taylor’s crew.
He spent the previous two seasons (2022-23) as an assistant linebackers coach, following a stint as a defensive quality control coach from 2019-21.
Rascati has worked as an assistant offensive line coach at Minnesota for the previous two seasons. He also spent two seasons as the Broncos’ quality control coach.
