Did the Bengals Make the Right Call Giving Tee Higgins a Franchise Tag?

The Cincinnati Bengals, like many other NFL teams, will face some difficult decisions this summer. One of those decisions was to give Tee Higgins a franchise tag. The crew decided to do exactly that.

The Bengals tagged Higgins with the hopes of negotiating a long-term contract with him. It’s a wise decision given that many teams will want to move Higgins away.
Despite the fact that the draft is stacked with talented wide receivers, it’s impossible to predict who will be as outstanding as Higgins. Higgins accumulated 695 yards and 5 touchdowns while missing five games.

Higgins may move on to another club in 2025, but the franchise tag can serve as his final audition for a lengthier contract with the Bengals after the 2024 season.
