The Sky Blues secured their first win of the season after defeating Middlesbrough 3-0 at the CBS Arena last weekend. To face the Swans however, Robins has made two changes.

In come Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Haji Wright for Kasey Palmer and Ellis Simms. Joel Latibeaudiere has been handed another start and will face his old side after spending three years at Swansea.

Coventry City have shared the spoils with Swansea City after a 1-1 draw at the Swansea City.com Stadium.

Matty Godden scored the opening goal shortly before the break, but the hosts provided a prompt response through Jerry Yates. The Swans started the better side and threatened on occasions during the opening five minutes.

They came close to scoring after an opportunity fell to Jay Fulton. His effort from outside of the box was just wide. Robins’ side meanwhile, promptly responded as Tatsuhiro Sakamoto provided a cross that fell to Haji Wright but his header was way off.

Minutes later, he was handed another chance from the right hand side as Milan van Ewijk produced a low pass for Wright who awaited outside the box. But his shot did not create any danger to Carl Rushworth.

Wright had a few good spells with the ball during the first half but was unfortunate to not score. Michael Duff’s side went quiet after a good 10 minute spell

The Sky Blues responded well to the pressure by creating some chances of their own. They were soon rewarded as Matty Godden scored his second goal for a second successive game.

The 32-year-old was having a quiet half and he did not miss his first opportunity that came out of nowhere, as he netted into the corner in the 38th minute. The away supporters were still celebrating when Jerry Yates headed the equaliser, minutes after.

Sky Blues came close to scoring the winner after a Josh Eccles corner hit the post. But in the end, the Sky Blues had to settle for their first point of the season.

Had little to deal with in both halves, but responded well to a header from close range following a corner. Not much he could have done to stop Yates’ equaliser as he was badly positioned in his line. 6

Milan Van Ewijk

Confident and relaxed, he has adapted well into Robins’ system. A solid performance from the Dutch who often drove play forward. Swans players had a hard time getting through him – worked relentlessly. 8

Bobby Thomas

Did his job as a defender, marked his man but could have been more cautious not to give fouls away. Tried to drive play forward in the second half but gave the ball away for a counter attack. 6

Kyle McFadzean

Not had much trouble in defence as he led the line, but responded well and was calm when called upon. 6

Joel Latibeaudiere

Received a few boos from the home supporters but that didn’t seem to bother him too much. Got the job done. 6.5

Jay Dasilva

City often initiated their play on the right-hand side, DaSilva was quiet down the left. Crossed the ball into the box but keeper Rushworth got to it before Wright.

Could have done better to stop Ashby’s cross into the box in Swansea’s equaliser but had a better second half. 6

Ben Sheaf

Worked hard in midfield as he tried to move play forward, while also disrupting and breaking down Swansea’s play. 8

Josh Eccles

Often stayed put in midfield, marking his man. There was the odd time he would pick up the play and provide crosses into the box. Ran up to the opposition box to pressure both Rushworth and defenders.

A great free kick late in the second half that almost led to the second goal. 6.5

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

Gotten in the right areas and helped the drive play forward, while consistently marked his man. Produced more crosses down the wing in the second half and was a handful for defenders. 7.5

Haji Wright

A very lively first half and looked the most dangerous Coventry player on the pitch. He positioned himself in the right area and caused trouble for the Swansea defenders. On one occasion, he picked the ball up from the halfway line and carrying it all the way into the box. 7.5

Matty Godden

Had a quiet first half but appeared out of nowhere after Coventry saw some opportunities go begging. Scored the opening goal but didn’t do much in the second. 6
