For the third time in four games, the New York Giants were humiliated on national television by a superior opponent.
Monday night’s 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium was a symphony of Big Blue anguish. The offense allowed 11 sacks, while Daniel Jones turned it over three times. The defense missed vital tackles. The special teams received a ludicrous six penalties

In four games, the Giants have had two strong quarters. The other 14 were terrible. This season, New York has been outscored 77-9 in the first half while scoring zero touchdowns. Giants supporters have seen their team outscored 64-3 in two home games, both of which were played during primetime.
“I’d be upset too if I was a fan,” head coach Brian Daboll remarked after the game, according to the official transcript. “There’s a lot of things we’ve got to do better, and that’s what we’ll try to do.”
Oh, Brian, they’re upset.
It’s not merely that the losses accumulate. The unhinged, disgusting character of those defeats has Giants supporters awakened in a brew of wrath, despair, and bewilderment.

The Giants paid Jones $40 million a year and have seen a negative return so far. It’s fair to say that the blocking has been poor, and few players could make plays with only.025 seconds to contemplate. Even when Jones did have time on Monday, he rarely hit his target, bolted from several clean pockets out of panic, and committed three terrible turnovers.
