David Moyes is expected to make two West Ham changes and a significant formation decision for the Europa League quarter-final first leg against Bayer Leverkusen.

West Ham, already underdogs, will face West Ham in a tie decided on fine margins. David Moyes will be without top scorer Jarrod Bowen and midfielder Edson Alvarez, but West Ham will ensure they are well in it to make home advantage count.

Moyes faces tough decisions on West Ham’s formation for the away leg after injuries to Bowen and Alvarez. Despite the team’s weakened state, Moyes is hopeful that West Ham’s squad can respond.

West Ham manager, Boss, is considering two changes and a formation switch. The switch to wingbacks helped West Ham win against Wolves, allowing Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus to play in their preferred positions. Vladimir Coufal will remain as a right wingback, while Aaron Cresswell will play as a left centre-back.

West Ham’s manager Kevin Hatchard predicts West Ham can break the Bayer bubble and win the tie 60-40. He warns Moyes against relying solely on low block defense, as it’s futile. Hatchard believes Hammers’ tactics, similar to Bayern Munich’s against Arsenal, could be effective against Leverkusen.
