Farhad Moshiri calls a ‘urgent meeting’ amid another £8 million Everton takeover twist.

The Miami-based investment fund’s ambition to take over the club is now all but dead, with the Premier League refusing to approve the deal due to concerns about their ability to fund the club.

However, Moshiri has given 777 Partners until the end of the month to demonstrate that their financial status is sufficient to take over the Toffees.

The group had already financed Everton roughly £200 million as part of the acquisition process, and Alan Myers has now revealed on Twitter that an additional £8 million payment had been made on top of that.

The situation has not reflected good on Everton, 777 Partners, or the Premier League. However, one group has emerged with their reputation boosted.

Moshiri to meet with Everton supporters

The great Everton Fan Advisory Board published a statement stating that they had demanded a “urgent meeting” with Moshiri, which the British-Iranian billionaire agreed to attend next week.

The FAB, an independent group with direct access to the club board, stated that it needed clarification on the 777 Partners talks, as well as what would happen if the club is obliged to consider alternative possibilities.
