Newcastle United can sign Arsenal defender for surprise £10m cut-price deal

Former Newcastle United target Kieran Tierney could be available for as little as £10m this summer as Arsenal look to offload the Scotland international.

Left-back Tierney was strongly linked with a move to St James’ Park last year, with the Gunners looking for £30m for the experienced defender at that stage. With no clubs willing to meet that valuation, he left the Emirates for a season-long loan deal with Real Sociedad in Spain’s La Liga.

The 27-year-old made played 26 time in all competitions last season, including two Champions League appearances for Sociedad, although a hamstring problem did hamper his time in Spain. However, while he will return to Arsenal this summer, he is reportedly surplus to requirements in North London, with the Gunners looking to move him on in a cut-price deal.
