Tottenham Hotspur loan star Tanguy Ndombele could see his debut delayed for his new side Galatasaray due to Turkish domestic football rules.
Ndombele, 26, joined the Super Lig champions on Monday on a season-long loan with a €15 million buyout option from Tottenham.
The midfielder also wanted to jump ship in quest of regular playing time, and Galatasaray came to his rescue.
He is presently playing in Istanbul, however his debut for his new club could be delayed due to domestic football restrictions in Turkey.
According to Turkish daily Hurriyet, Turkish clubs must field three Turkish players in a domestic encounter, which could delay Ndombele’s debut for Galatasaray.
Due to the laws, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk may have to leave Ndombele on the bench if he needs to play Kerim Demirbay in midfield.
Buruk may need to complete the jigsaw puzzle of his team selection before giving Ndombele his maiden start.
Ndombele spent the season on loan at Napoli, where he played an important part.
