Jim Harbaugh gives crucial injury updates to two key Michigan football defenders

One of the most important aspects of a football bye week is keeping players healthy. Michigan football has had a handful important defenders out with minor ailments, but they have still played in every game this season. Mike Sainristil and Kris Jenkins are those players, and Jim Harbaugh provided some updates on them on this week’s Inside Michigan Football radio broadcast.

“What a tenacious warrior (Mike Sainristil) has been,” stated Jim Harbaugh on the show. “He played two or three games there despite not being able to practice all week and still play in the game.” And he’s really good after a full week of practice.”

If you’re a Michigan fan, that’s fantastic news. Sainristil appears to be able to get in a full week of practice this week, and Kris Jenkins should be in the similar boat.

“Kris Jenkins has been dominating,” Harbaugh went on to say. “He had a week last week where he didn’t get a full week of practice either — (Michigan) is hoping that isn’t the case this week.”now for this week.”

If Michigan can stay healthy, they will be a difficult team to beat. Getting those two back to full strength is critical for the Wolverines moving forward.

The game between the Wolverines and the Boilermakers will air on NBC on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
