David Sullivan makes David Moyes sack decision at West Ham United on Friday

David Moyes is “likely” to see out his contract at West Ham, with his deal expiring next summer, according to 90min.

The publication reported on its website on Friday (10 November) that Moyes may, however, not be safe until then if a better candidate is found by co-owner David Sullivan.

The East London outfit currently sit 12th in the Premier League table on 14 points, having won four of their 11 matches so far.

“David Moyes is likely to see out his contract at West Ham United unless co-owner David Sullivan deems there to be a candidate of sufficient calibre available to take over, sources have told 90min.

“Moyes is out of contract at West Ham next summer but talks over an extension haven’t been held despite the club’s crowning glory in Europe.

“90min understands that Sullivan has always been of the belief that Moyes is in the strongest position to take West Ham forward, both when the club were battling relegation and even now.”

Stick or twist?

A lot of Premier League clubs decided to change managers at various points in the last campaign, with some making the right choice and others regretting their decision.

Moyes’s position in the dugout at the London Stadium was seemingly under threat at one point of the season, but the Hammers undoubtedly made the right call to stick with him.

Not only did he manage to guide the club to domestic safety, but the Scot also drove his team to a memorable European trophy in the form of the Europa Conference League.

Perhaps the powers that be at the London Stadium will make a similar call this time around, whereby those in charge will not be influenced by what they hope is just a small crisis.

The Hammers have lost their last three league matches, but they are into the League Cup quarter-finals and look like they will make it into the Europa League knockout stages.
