Medical underway as Jack Harrison agrees personal terms for Leeds United loan exit
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is undergoing a medical with Everton ahead of a season-long loan move, according to Phil Hay.
The journalist reported for The Athletic on Sunday (12 August) that the Toffees have triggered a clause in the player’s contract.
That clause would see Harrison move to Goodison Park on loan, with Everton then wanting to make the move permanent.
“Jack Harrison is undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed move from Leeds United to Everton,” Hay wrote for The Athletic.
“The Premier League club have triggered a clause in the 26-year-old’s contract that would see him join on an initial season-long loan, which Everton would like to turn permanent in due course. Personal terms are in place.”
Harrison is a very exciting signing for Everton, who undoubtedly need more attacking talent in the door, especially following their struggles in the 1-0 loss to Fulham on Saturday (12 August).
They have already brought in Arnaut Danjuma on a season-long loan from Villarreal and Youssef Chermiti on a permanent deal from Sporting Lisbon, but manager Sean Dyche clearly feels there is still work to do in this department.
It’s also exciting for Everton supporters, who very rarely see a transfer for a potential new player proceed this quickly.
Harrison should bring speed and skill to the Toffees wing, and allow the likes of Chermiti and Dominic Calvert-Lewin – when fully fit – to find the back of the net more easily.
The Leeds winger has proven his ability for the Whites over the years, and he will no doubt become a permanent Everton player in the near future as his loan move has all the potential to be a great success.
