However, he will be the first to make history when the game begins inside Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

The former Penn State great played for the Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV during the 1999 season. As you are probably aware, that game did not end well for the Titans, as wide receiver Kevin Dyson was stopped one yard short of the end zone with Tennessee trailing the then-St. Louis Rams 23-16 late in the fourth quarter.

Interestingly, Terry Killens played 16 games for the 49ers in 2001. He made 28 tackles while starting two games.

Killens began working as an NFL official in 2019. He formerly worked for the American Athletic Conference in collegiate football and the Alliance of American Football.

Bill Vinovich leads the full group that will call next month’s Super Bowl. He has worked two Super Bowls over his career. Vinovich most recently refereed San Francisco’s 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas night.
