Las Vegas Raiders: Defense suddenly not just about star Maxx Crosby

The first time I walked into a casino and glanced around, I realized who paid for everything. And I knew that no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that I’d win, I wouldn’t. (And I didn’t.)

You will win some. You lose some. Over time, you will lose more than you gain. For example, in December 2023, the various houses earned the most money in Nevada history, totaling $1.43 billion. In just one month.February 2024 should outperform it. Because tens of thousands of football fans and media will descend for a week of attempting to win games that are engineered, over time, to cause you to lose.

You’ll have fun along the way. You’ll get cheap food and plenty of free drinks (particularly while gambling). If you’re particularly awful at gambling, they’ll give you a lot of other free goods. (If you’re one of the few who are exceptionally skilled at gambling, they’ll try to kick you out.)

Everyone who goes to Vegas knows it’s going to happen, even if they can fool themselves into believing they’ll be one of the lucky few to pay out with a big smile.Gambling psychology is a part of reality. The money you lose is not equal to the money you require. (Even if it is.

When David Letterman hosted a week of episodes from Las Vegas, he delivered a joke that went like this:

I was walking along the street today. A guy approached me and said, “My wife needs surgery. “Can you give me some money to pay for it?”

I told him, “I’d love to assist you out. But how do I know you won’t use this money to gamble?

And the guy replied, “Oh, I’ve got gambling money.”

Everyone who travels to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl will have gaming money. The most of them will lose it.

This includes me. And I am still looking forward to it.

Because you never know when the dice will go heated.
