Andrew Berry, Cleveland Browns GM Performance Review – Edge Defenders
This series focuses on Andrew Berry’s performance throughout the preceding offseason. He will not receive credit for having a talent like Myles Garrett or Amari Cooper in a position room since that did not alter this offseason. We are concentrating on acquisitions and subtractions through free agency or the draft. We will also consider extensions if they have actively kept someone around. The series will repeat every other day, progressing position by position. The 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl had one of its most impressive lineups in years, with a mix of senior and underclass talent for evaluators to look at. The Cleveland Browns have eight picks in the 2024 NFL Draft and will almost probably consider a few Shrine Bowl participants.

Watson is the most notable back in the Shrine Game. Watson, who stands 6’1″ and weighs 220 pounds, has a complete game and the size required of an NFL starter. He’s garnering surprisingly little attention in a class devoid of stars, and Watson is likely to be the next late-round back who outperforms his rookie contract. It’s difficult to be a big winner in all-star game practices as a back, but Watson fulfilled expectations as a receiver and demonstrated athleticism in drills. He’s a good athlete for his height and quite productive because he possesses the finesse required to be efficient. His pass blocking should be improved, but he had the ability to be effective.Malik Washington, despite his height of 5’8″, was the greatest offensive player at the Shrine Bowl. Washington is ready to play in the NFL right now, having already produced well. Most teams will assign him to the slot, but his powerful hands, ball-tracking ability, and flexibility on fast routes will allow him to capitalize on any opportunity.
His ability to separate and shake defenders would be a valuable complement to Cleveland’s existing receiving corps. He will not cost more than a Day 3 pick and possesses exceptional football skills.
