Arsenal move for Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury was never a……..

In the Championship, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is having an incredible season with Leicester City as they aim for a speedy return to the Premier League. Despite having played one extra game, the Foxes lead the Championship table with 72 points, approximately 11 points ahead of their closest challenger Southampton.

Prior to January, the Foxes were aware that a few Premier League teams were interested in Dewsbury-Hall, but the midfield player didn’t seem to be for sale. They were successful in their endeavor, as several teams were seriously inquiring about the availability of the 25-year-old.

Arsenal and Fulham were mentioned in connection with a deal in January, but neither team followed through. To strengthen their roster, the Cottagers in particular had been searching for a new midfield player. But now that Marco Silva is looking for players who can build a strong basis for the future, Fulham may push for summer acquisitions.

Dewsbury-Hall will still be on their list, but his price may go up given that Leicester is probably going to be promoted back to the top flight.Dean Jones claims that Arsenal has seen the Leicester midfielder several times and may now take the player into consideration for the upcoming transfer window.

It would make sense for Jones to stress that Dewsbury-Hall might not rise to the top of Arsenal’s priority list. But his performance this season, with 10 goals and as many assists in the Championship, speaks eloquently about his brilliance and has greatly aided Leicester in maintaining their top spot in the standings.

Arteta might be thrilled with his stats, and he might end up costing significantly less than some of the Gunners’ top midfield targets this summer. These are Amadou Onana, Douglas Luiz, and Martin Zubimendi; any of them is probably going to cost well over £50 million.
