BREAKING: Former New York Giants Head Coach Lands New Gig
Former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo’s coaching career has been anything but smooth. While he has made a few trips since leaving the Giants, he has yet to find a permanent home. Now he has another opportunity to accomplish just that.
According to Mike Garafalo of the NFL Network, the New England Patriots want to hire Ben McAdoo as an offensive assistant coach. McAdoo previously served as the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator in 2022. McAdoo will now work for Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo.
Giants fans are well familiar with McAdoo. He was their head coach for fewer than two seasons, from 2016 to 2017. Believe it or not, McAdoo led the Giants to a brief postseason berth at the end of the 2016 season.
However, all of that work came undone in the 2017 season. Furthermore, despite Ben McAdoo’s aggressive pitch to choose quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Giants executive office did not listen to him. These events led to his death.
