Warriors Are ‘Unlikely’ To Trade, Per Report Chris Paul

Chris Paul’s trade by the Golden State Warriors is “unlikely,” per NBA expert Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

This season, Paul is earning $30.8 million. His pay for the upcoming season is not assured. The future Hall of Famer is shooting 42.4% from the field, 36.1% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the free-throw line in 2023–24 while averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.1 blocks.

Paul is presently unable to work due to a hand injury. January 8 was surgery day for him. On January 5 against the Detroit Pistons, the Wake Forest product broke his left hand a second time around due to a metacarpal fracture.

Warriors’ record is just 22–25. According to the Western Conference standings, they are in 12th position. The Dubs wouldn’t even be in the play-in bracket if the season ended tonight.

According to sources who spoke with NBA Analysis Network, the Warriors attempted to trade Paul to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Pascal Siakam, but the deal fell through because Siakam had no intention of returning to Golden State. This summer, Siakam becomes an unrestricted free agent. The Raptors traded him to the Indiana Pacers.
