“My instinct”… Phil Hay predicts that Leeds will probably sell a £11 million player shortly after Sinisterra.

The Whites were relegated from the Premier League the previous season, and although many anticipated a massive fire sale at Elland Road during the summer, several players left on loan, thus there weren’t many permanent sales this summer.

But Luis Sinisterra was permanently sold to Bournemouth this week, and there has been some discussion about some other Leeds loanees potentially making permanent moves soon.

Speaking about the circumstances surrounding some of Leeds’ loan players on The Square Ball Podcast, Phil Hay states that he has a gut feeling that Jack Harrison will also leave permanently soon, saying that Everton and several other Premier League teams would be eager to sign him.

Jack Harrison is probably going to be sold.
Hay gave his assessment of the £11 million man’s prospects.

“This was an easy one to deal with because Bournemouth wanted to keep Sinisterra just as much as Everton wanted to keep Jack Harrison. But not if they go down, that one won’t happen, but Harrison would also be taken by other mid-table Premier League clubs, so my intuition tells me he will go and they will profit from that one,” Hay remarked.

Not requiring him
Harrison has been a valuable asset to Leeds throughout the years, so it won’t be a major loss to move him this summer.
This season, Georginio Rutter, Dan James, and Willy Gnonto have all performed admirably for Leeds on the flanks. Crysencio Summerville has also made a remarkable comeback.
The wings are the one area Leeds don’t really need to address this summer, and although Harrison is a fantastic player, Leeds don’t necessarily need him back in their lineup right now.
