Former Panther DeShaun Foster set to become head coach of UCLA
Former Carolina Panthers running back DeShaun Foster is expected to become UCLA’s next head football coach.
In a discussion that follows the initial Tweet or X post, Thamel discusses how much Foster’s leadership talents have pleased UCLA’s decision makers, as well as how much he is loved by the team’s players.
This is Foster’s second important promotion in the last ten days. He was named the new running backs coach for the Las Vegas Raiders a little more than a week ago, but he is leaving that position to become the head coach at his Alma Mater. The gentleman is obviously in high demand. He will take over for Chip Kelly, who left his position as head coach to become Ohio State’s offensive coordinator.
As best as I can determine, Foster is the only notable former Panthers player who now serves as an FBS head coach. In his ninth game as head coach, he will face another former Panther, Matt Rhule.
