Tight End Thaddeus Moss Signs with the Tiger-Cats

According to 3 Down Nation and the CFL Transactions List, the Tiger-Cats have signed tight end Thaddeus Moss. Moss is the son of Randy Moss, an NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver. This week, the Tiger-Cats signed several potential offensive playmakers, including two-time CFL All-Star Tim White, wide receiver JohnCarlos Santana, and running back Marcus Cooper.
While Thaddeus Moss’ father, Randy Moss, was regarded as an excellent football player with freakish athletic talent, Thaddeus has pursued a different road to professional football. Moss signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2021, however he was cut and spent the next two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Moss appeared in eight games for the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League in 2023, catching three passes for 38 yards and one touchdown.
Moss compensates for his lack of on-field achievement in professional football with a championship pedigree. Moss was a member of LSU’s national championship squad in 2019, which was regarded as one of the best offensive combinations in NCAA football history. He scored two touchdowns in the 2022 national championship game to help the Tigers win, and in 2023, he helped the Birmingham Stallions win their second consecutive USFL championship.
The 6-foot-2, 249-pound tight end Moss is a native of Florence, Kentucky. In 2016, Moss began his college football career at North Carolina State University, where he appeared in 13 games and caught six passes for 49 yards and one score. Moss subsequently transferred to LSU in 2017, where he played 14 games in the 2019 season. Moss caught 47 catches for 570 yards and four touchdowns during his time with the Tigers.
Moss is well-known in the professional football world as a result of his father’s achievements. Moss, if he finds the appropriate fit with a professional team, has the potential to succeed. Moss complements wide receiver Tim White, which might increase playmaking opportunities for players and the Tiger-Cats offense.
