Rakhale and his Bucs teammates are currently enjoying a four-match unbeaten run in all competitions, winning three and drawing one.
Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Rakhale is delighted with his team’s success under coach Kjell Jonevret.
The 27-year-old winger earned his first competitive game with the Buccaneers in 2017.
Rakhale, nicknamed Jomo, provided an assist in extra time as Pirates defeated Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.
“It feels amazing to be back with the squad. “We have been doing well in the last few games,” Rakhale told The Citizen.
The dribbling wizard, who had been absent for more than three months due to a hamstring injury, hailed Swedish tactician Jonevret for believing in him.
“I’d want to thank the coach for trusting in me and putting me in such an important game. “I’m glad to be back,” he added.
“I think now we are going back to the Pirates that people know; a team that plays good football with a winning mentality,” he said in a statement.
“Everyone on the team is delighted, and the attitude is quite positive. “If everyone gives his all, we will go far,” Rakhale said.
Rakhale has appeared in 14 matches in all competitions for the Buccaneers this season.
