The Buffalo Bills have signed defensive tackle Austin Johnson to a one-year contract, following his 17-game stint with the Los Angeles Chargers last season.
Head coach Sean McDermott praised Johnson’s desirable personality and professionalism, despite not meeting Jones during a visit to the facility. Johnson will reunite with former Penn State and Titans teammate DaQuan Jones.
Former second-round pick Austin Johnson, with eight career sacks, is expected to have a breakthrough season like his Buffalo teammate, Jones. General manager Brandon Beane believes Johnson can follow Jones’ success in Buffalo, emphasizing the importance of a winning culture and team.
Johnson, raised in New Jersey, began his Penn State career alongside DaQuan Jones, a defensive tackle for the Bills.
