Riley Greene, an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers, stood in the batters box during their home opener against the Athletics, which ended 5-4.

Colt Keith and Kerry Carpenter will return to the Detroit Tigers lineup for Saturday’s game against Comerica Park, having been added from the bench in the series opener.

The Tigers face the Oakland Athletics at 1:10 p.m., with rookie second baseman Keith starting Saturday after being intentionally walked in his first plate appearance.

The full lineup includes Jake Rogers, Andy Ibanez, Zach McKinstry, and Matt Vierling, with Rogers available off the bench.

Kenta Maeda, a 36-year-old Detroit Tigers player, will face Paul Blackburn on the mound.

Blackburn’s first start with the Tigers was unsuccessful, allowing six runs on seven hits. He then threw seven shutout innings against Cleveland, leading the A’s to their only victory of the season.
