Tottenham Hotspur are expected to have a busy summer transfer window. Ange Postecoglou has made it abundantly clear that he would like to make some changes. The culture of the club has been under question since the Aussie boss took charge and it’s a mentality shift which he is best-placed to make. Therefore, the Tottenham board must grant his transfer wishes.
One area of concern for Tottenham Hotspur heading into the summer transfer window is their defence. While they have a blistering attack and a solid midfield, their defence is fragile and weak, for a lack of more sophisticated words to describe the back-line.
In the 2023/24 Premier League season, Tottenham conceded a whopping 61 goals, not good enough for a team who wishes to qualify for European football. In fact, no team in the top five of the Premier League conceded more goals than Tottenham, a personification of their weak defence which needs to be addressed in the summer transfer window.
