Wolves willing to listen to offers for Newcastle target Pedro Neto

Newcastle United are one of the clubs showing keen interest in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

The Magpies could be looking to bolster their wide forward areas with Miguel Almiron likely to be sold.

According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham, are also interested in signing him.

Wolves are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old winger and they would demand a record fee of around £60m.

Newcastle could operate on a tight budget in the summer as it seeks to comply with the PSR rules. The Magpies are close to breaching the PSR threshold for losses across three seasons, and they won’t risk losing points, after seeing what happened with Everton and Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle move for Pedro Neto highly unlikely

Neto has enjoyed a fantastic season but it could have been a lot better had he not picked up an injury. He has managed two goals and nine assists in 18 starts in the Premier League and has been simply “sensational” this season for Wolves.

The Telegraph recently reported that Wolves are bracing themselves for offers for Neto but they are under no pressure to sell their top player.

Eddie Howe has suggested that the Magpies won’t need to sell any of their top players, but they could look to sign Neto if Bruno Guimaraes leaves. Guimaraes is happy at St James’ Park and has a release clause of around £100m.

Thus, due to their financial situation, the Magpies are unlikely to move for Neto at the moment, but things could change if one or two top players leave this summer.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are looking to complete double signings. The Magpies have been linked with Llyod Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo, and talks are progressing well to get them on board.
