2 players on offense who need to impress at Buffalo Bills minicamp

Mandatory minicamp starts next week for the Buffalo Bills, and we’re one step closer to reporting for training camp. This is the time for some of their new offensive players to impress the coaches. After losing a good chunk of their offensive weapons in March and April, there’s a good amount of players who are in their first year with Buffalo and feel like they need to make an early impression on the management.

Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have been balling on a budget this off-season, trying to field a team around their superstar quarterback. That means some players who are starting this year wouldn’t be taking meaningful snaps in other years. Depending on how you take the reports of Chase Claypool being “the most consistent receiver in Bills camp”, that can be considered a good thing, and the Bills’ pass catchers aren’t as bad as people thought.

Another question that needs to be answered is will they keep four running backs this year? They drafted one and signed one as an undrafted free agent, and still have James Cook and Ty Johnson rostered. In a year where they don’t have as much firepower in the wide receiver room, the Bills could end up keeping a fourth running back rostered if they like the value that a Frank Gore Jr brings to the team.

Some of the questions that this front office has may be answered this upcoming week. If they can get through this week with at least one question answered, it’ll be considered a success and they’ll go into training camp with one concern checked off the list. Let’s get into what offensive players need to impress at training camp.
