Injured Detroit Lions Running Back Ruled Out For Season
The Detroit Lions will be without one of their running backs for the rest of the season. The Lions had several of their running backs dealing with injuries in the early.
David Montgomery had to miss Week 3 with a thigh bruise, but he returned to help the Lions steamroll the Packers on Thursday Night Football. Rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs missed Week 5 due to a hamstring injury.

Those injuries had the Lions giving more reps to Zonovan Knight in the win over the Carolina Panthers. However, Knight sustained a shoulder injury in the contest. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Knight has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Knight ran the ball for 13 yards on three carries this season and caught one pass for eight yards. With Gibbs unlikely to play in Week 6, the Lions will have to rely on Montgomery and Craig Reynolds against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
